I was horrified to learn that our Federal Government has become what our founders fled 200 years ago, when they created our land of liberty. We the people are supposed to be served by our government, not be oppressed by our elected representatives. We elect our public servants to enhance our lives, not to persecute us and deny us our Constitutionally guaranteed liberty. Our founders understood that men left to their own greedy devices would eventually devolve into the tyrants we are currently living under. It was for this reason that they designated "we the people" to be the final authority over the governance of our country.
